The Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) has contracted with VHIT to provide free outreach and education for the Virginia EHR Medicaid Incentive Program. Through this initiative, VHIT can assist your practice as you determine eligibility, register for the incentives and take steps to adopt, implement or upgrade to an ONC-certified EHR system. VHIT will also work with you as you progress to meaningful use of your EHRs and qualify for subsequent incentive payments.
VHIT offers various levels of support, all at no cost to you. Benefits include the VHIT Help Line (1-800-207-7928), in-office consultation, phone and email support from your assigned EHR coordinator, bimonthly educational webinars and e-newsletters, and an online resource center where you can access information and tools related to EHR implementation, meaningful use, change management and other health IT topics.
